Like George Washington, Nathanael Greene was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America.  Washington credited Greene as the savior of the American Revolution.  Greene's actions in the Carolinas made possible the surrender of the British Army under Lord Cornwallis at the Battle of Yorktown, Virginia.
